My name is Ronni Husmann. I'm a 21-year-old NYU student and I'm trying to be as courageous as possible as I enter the field of photojournalism. Photography and journalism are professions that epitomize what we as humans should remember to value: honesty, courage, and empathy. We are storytellers, change makers, and we give a voice to those who are told to be silent. I may be young, but I'm part of a generation that will change the world — I truly believe that — and we aren't waiting to graduate high school, college or be granted permission to do so. We are passionate, opinionated and impatient and I want my photos and stories to inspire, educate and connect people from different backgrounds beyond seas and borders.
