Billiards & Bar Fights
Across Manhattan's East Village are dozens of dive bars known for their inexpensive drinks, rowdy crowd, and most importantly, their tattered, cherished pool tables. Nestled into the back corners of these unassuming, dimly lit pubs, the beer-stained felt serves as the arena for the fiercely competitive pool culture that spans generations, skill-levels, and intensity with weekend partiers and college students often facing off with league players and seasoned regulars. The games provide onlookers, drowning the memories of their weeks in cheap beer and slurred conversations, with ardent and sometimes dramatic entertainment. This is an ongoing project.
